Years 1 & 2
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud…it always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
In Year 1 and 2, we are like a family and we care for each other. We try our best in all aspects of our school experience, from the way we treat our friends to the way we approach our learning activities. We love learning and finding out more. We love making progress and are excited by our achievements.
Our PE lessons are usually on Monday and Wednesday afternoons. However, these days may change to accommodate other events so your child should have their PE kit in school for a full week.
Each week, your child will be given the following homework:
- One piece of English or Maths (alternate weeks)
- A reading book
- Spellings (tested on Fridays)
- A choice of activities from this half term’s Topic Grid (optional)
