‘People Who Inspire Us’
St Peter’s, Elwick CoE aim to introduce our pupils to the best that has been thought and said and help them engender an appreciation of human creativity and achievement. We aim to inspire our pupils by introducing them to those who have built bridges and narrowed inequalities so that they too feel that they have the power to do this.
Each subject area has strategically planned coverage of ‘People Who Inspire Us’ integrated into the curriculum with figures from a range of socio–economic, cultural, SEND and ethnic backgrounds to ensure our pupils explicitly understand the best of human creativity and achievement comes from a wide variety of people.
