Our pupils celebrated Earth Day on 22nd April. The theme was planet vs plastics.

Early Years talked about the issue with plastics and how we can look after the planet. One pupil said to Miss Watt, "If we don't look after our planet, it won't look after us."

In Year 1/2, pupils designed a reusable water bottle, so we can work to avoid single-use plastics.

In Year 3/4, pupils created an Earth Day pledge. Children spoke about what they would do (at home and at school) to help take care of Earth.

In Year 5/6, pupils learnt about evolution and adaptation. This linked to our Earth Day tasks, by focusing on our planet - exploring a range of animals and how we classify them. Pupils spoke about the importance of taking care of marine and land animals, and the impact of plastics on wildlife.
