Year 3 & 4

Welcome to Year 3 & 4

Message from the class teacher

In Year 3 and 4, we aim to support a smooth transition from Key Stage 1 into Key stage 2 by engaging children in lessons and experiences within school. We build on previous knowledge in a safe and secure environment, learning to grow in confidence and start to understand the importance of education and its impact on their own lives now and in their future success. We look forward to all the amazing things we will learn this year together and sharing the children’s success and how proud we are of them all.

PE Lessons

Our PE lessons are on a Tuesday and a Friday with Mr Gibson.

Please come to school in full PE kit both days. Remember to tie hair back if it is long and no jewellery.

Homework

Each Friday a new piece of homework will be given out and needs to be returned the following Wednesday so that it can be marked and a new piece ready for the Friday. Reading books will be chosen by the children and brought home to read. One finished, the children can return their books and pick a new one at any time. Spellings for the half term are in the front of your child’s homework book. Your children will have their spelling assessments on a Monday.
