30 Hours Nursery
Fifteen of the 30 hours are free for all children and the remaining fifteen hours will be FREE for many parents if you are eligible. If you are not eligible the remaining 15 hours can be paid for by parents at the rate of £12.00 per day with an additional £5 lunchtime supervision charge. Please note that additional afternoons are subject to availability and can be withdrawn in the event of a child with a funded place needing the space.
If you have expressed an interest in the additional provision please see the next steps to be taken:
- Parents need to check eligibility and apply online at www.childcarechoices.gov.uk and will be given a unique code. Parents should then complete the attached form and return it school, making sure that the code section is completed along with all the other information requested, so that we can confirm the code with the local authority and secure your additional provision.
- Applications for additional childcare provision need to be completed in the term before you would like your childcare to begin.
Please note that to keep getting Free Childcare for Working Parents you are responsible for signing in to your childcare account every 3 months to confirm your details are up to date and that you are still eligible.
For nursery children who stay for lunch, a daily charge of £5 for supervision and £2.65 to cover the cost of a school lunch is payable if they have a school meal. This charge applies to both 15 and 30 hour nursery children. If you do not wish to pay the additional £5 supervision charge, then you can arrange for your child to be taken home for lunch or for them to be picked up at 2.45pm each day.
