Knowledge organisers for each half term\u2019s unit of learning will be sent as QR codes to parents to support learning at home. These are also available any time from our school office.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    We pride ourselves in giving children the opportunity to participate in as many sporting events and festivals as we can at Hart Community Primary School. Have a look below at some of our achievements and pictures of us participating in lots of different sporting events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Youth Sports Trust<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Federation has been externally assessed by a Youth Sports Trust Development Manager and deemed to be Gold Standard. The PE lead and Sports Coach met with the assessor at Hart Primary. Through an interview they were able to demonstrate the schools\u2019 achievements along with the assessor meeting and having a tour of the school and PE achievements. This means that the school has obtained the highest level possible for the award and this is valid for two years 2022\u2013 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What is the Award? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Youth Sport Trust Quality Mark is online self-review tool which provides schools with a nationally recognised badge of excellence for PE and school sport. The tool supports schools to audit their PE provision and identify priorities for their development plan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The tool has been aligned to Ofsted guidance supporting the PE and Sport Premium and comprises a series of statements, where you can select your level of provision in these areas: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \u00b7 Quality of PE <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \u00b7 Quality of school sport <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \u00b7 Use of PE, physical activity and sport as a catalyst for wider learning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Even though the award is a self-review tool, both schools were then inspected by a Youth Sports Trust Development Manager. It gave the school the chance to show all of the amazing work our schools do from Nursery to Year 6 and show what a fantastic job we are all doing! We are very proud of the staff, children and parents for their dedication and support of our PE curriculum and in achieving the Gold Youth Sports Trust Quality Mark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    JAPP<\/strong> (Junior Accelerated Performance Programme)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    A select number of children within Y5\/6 access JAPP at our local Senior School. They are chosen for their aptitude for PE and sportsmanship. They have the opportunity to develop their PE skills further by attending termly sporting events at High Tunstall. They also get to work with other JAPP pupils from local primary schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    SSOC (School Sports Organising Crew)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Each year we appoint an SSOC crew for our school. These children support others within school during lunchtimes to play organised games and activities to support with childrens’ teamwork, physical activity (keeping active for 60min a day) and enjoyment of physical activity. The SSOC actively engage pupils within physical opportunities through their leadership roles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Early Years<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Early Years have been busy zooming around on their balance bikes within their lessons this half term. They have been working on changing direction, stopping safely and balancing with control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Year 1\/2  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Throwing and catching was our PE topic in Autumn One.  We explored a number of different target games, passing and working individually and in groups. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Lessons included throwing, rolling, bouncing, catching, passing underarm and overarm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    We include lots of personal challenges within our lessons to help more children with the opportunity to compete and achieve their ‘personal best’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    These lessons consisted of tagging, different types of passing, speed, agility, attacking, defending, sportsmanship and learning the rules of the game. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This give the children to opportunity to learn the skills required to enter the cluster Tag Rugby be tournament.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    We include lots of personal challenges within our lessons to help more children with the opportunity to compete and achieve their ‘personal best’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Y5 children also had additional Bikeability sessions. They worked on completing their level 1 and 2 Bikeability which includes on road safety when riding their bike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
