They\nare entitled to&nbsp;<strong>universal free school meal.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At Hart Primary School, our cook\nprepares fresh healthy school meals every day. Often these dishes are based on home favourites. We hope that all\npupils will take up this offer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eating a healthy meal is\nknown to improve behaviour, concentration and the ability to\nachieve.&nbsp;That\u2019s why it\u2019s especially important for children to eat a\ndelicious, healthy meal at school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A lot is asked of pupils and students throughout the school day.&nbsp;We believe that a balanced, healthy school lunch is vital to help make sure they\u2019re nutritionally re-charged to work through the afternoon and able to deliver their best.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>School Meal Costs &amp;&nbsp; Free School Meals<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From September 2024 the cost of a school meal for children in Nursery, Y3, Y4, Y5 and Y6 is \u00a32.65 per day or \u00a313.25 per week. Eating together gives us the opportunity to talk, laugh and share.\nTaking time out to catch up and talk lets us truly connect. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Nursery, we provide a \u2018family dining experience\u2019 for our children. We use these times to model healthy eating behaviours, meal etiquette and social skills. All of our Early Years children learn how to set a table, how to use a knife and fork, develop table manners and etiquette, try new foods and develop social skills through meal times.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For nursery children who stay for lunch, a daily charge of \u00a35 for supervision and \u00a32.65 to cover the cost of a school lunch is payable if they have a school meal.
